Scientists at Tempe, Ariz.-based Medistem Laboratories have produced endometrial regenerative cells, stem cells derived from menstrual blood. Researchers said menstrual stem cells are easier to obtain than those from other sources, do not pose ethical concerns linked to embryonic stem cells and have the ability to transform into various tissue types under favorable conditions.

美国亚利桑那州Tempe市MediStem实验室的科学家们日前从子宫内膜细胞中提取出了可再生的细胞，即从经血中获得了干细胞。研究者们说，经血干细胞比其它的任何一种来源的干细胞都更加容易获得；它不存在胚胎干细胞所涉及的伦理问题；并且具备在适宜条件下转化为多种类型组织的能力。
