Meningitis And Encephalitis Cases Caused By Different Bacteria

Officials from Rhode Island have announced that there is not link between the elementary school pupil who developed meningitis and three other children from the same state who had encephalitis. The encephalitis cases in Warwick and West Warwick were caused by mycoplasma bacteria.
In other words, the single case and the three other cases were not caused by the same bacteria.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is still investigating the encephalitis cases.
These cases prompted several schools in the area to close. Authorities say schools will open as normal tomorrow.

美国罗得岛州官方人员宣布，患脑膜炎的小学生与同一州患大脑炎的另外3个儿童无关联，在Warwick与Warwick西部患脑炎的病例是由于支原体引起的。
换句话说，脑膜炎病例与大脑炎病例不是由于同一种细菌引起的。
疾病控制中心仍在对大脑炎病例进行调查。
这些病例导致多所学校关闭，权威当局指示明天学校照常上课：
